I use 4-4-5 week quarter. Such that 52 weeks are divided in to four quarters of 13 weeks each. Each week end with Friday. I need to fill a corresponding column with the Financial month based on 4-4-5 scheme. For Example for Year 2010
Friday 8 would mark the end of week 1 of Jan
Friday 15 would be Week2 of Jan
Friday 22 Week 3 of Jan
Friday 29 Week 4 of Jan
Similarly Feb 5, 12, 19, and 26 would constitute Feb month
March 5, 12, 19, 26 and Apr 2 weekend dates would constitute Month of March. and so on.
On my worksheet i have various dates in one column and i need to identify which Financial month they fall in to based on 4-4-5 week scheme in the adjacent column.

Please help

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi avinashgaur
Welcome to the board

To get the number of the financial month, try:

=MATCH(INT((A5-"2010-1-1"-1)/7),{-1,4,8,13,17,21,26,30,34,39,43,47})
