I'm trying to do what I thought should be a simple task.
I have Outlook 2000 running on one computer. I need to get the addresses/contacts from that computer into Outlook 2002, which is running on another computer.
I'm not sure what type of file I should export. I read something online that said I should export a csv file, however, when I try to import that type of file into Outlook 2002, I have a problem. This is because I recently purchased the used computer and it came without the backup CDs for Office. When I try to import the csv file, I get a message that says "MS Outlook cannot start the required translator. The feature is not currently installed."
I’ve also searched for a pst file because I read that could be the file that contains the Outlook addresses, but there are none on my computer.
Is there another file type that I can export from Outlook 2000 that would allow me to just import easily into Outlook 2003 without requiring me to install the translator?
If someone could help me figure this out, it would make my job so much easier!
Thanks bunches!
