Hello,

I have a vertical bar chart that I'm looking to center on the X-axis. Essentially, I want there to be gaps between the bars and the Y axis, and from the last bar to the end of the X-axis, but I'd like the bars to abut each other. Can someone tell me the best way to do this? Thanks!

Mike

Hello Mike

Follow the procedure below to build this kind of chart:

abut.JPG

- Start with the chart shown at this page:Chart with a Dual Category Axis - Peltier Tech Blog

- Delete the unwanted data without changing the chart’s source data as depicted above. The deleted data will serve as placeholders to create the gaps before and after the column cluster.

- At format data series>series options, choose overlapped (100%) and no gap (0%) to abut the columns.

- Change the column colors manually
