Hello,

I need assistance with matching on two columns/fields across two different worksheets and returning a value in a cell from one worksheet to another if there is an exact match. Specifically, I am beginning in column "W" in the sheet entitled "Personnel". I need to match on the CAN and Short Name across both sheets in this workbook. If there is an exact match between both worksheets, I need it to return the value from column "D" on sheet 2 into column "W" on sheet 1.

I am matching employee name and the specific CAN they are paid from across two worksheets (however some employees are paid from multiple CANs, hence the need to match to avoid manual updates after doing a simple vlookup).

I am able to send a detailed file with detailed data to assist. Thanks so much for any/all valuable input!

Thanks,
Rahim

You would use a vlookup here, however, create a unique id for each record by concatenating Employee Name and CAN in BOTH sheets. Then use those values for the vlookup.
