Hi

I have this formula
Excel Formula:
IF(ROUND(F5,2)=ROUND('Daily Tracking'!CG375,2),"MILES RUN THIS/LAST YTD  ►","ERROR! YTD MLG <> F5")
that I want to substitute the actual current/previous year i.e. "& THIS YEAR() & "/" & THIS YEAR()-1" (without the outer commas) for "THIS/LAST" but Excel errors "Too many arguments" and I don't know how to fix it. I seem to think I need the IFS function but I've tried it without success.

Help appreciated.

Many thanks!

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Where do you want it in the existing formula
Try using =YEAR(TODAY()) &"/" & YEAR(TODAY()-365)
AND
I think your original formula needs to be
Excel Formula:
=IF(ROUND(F5,2)=ROUND('Daily Tracking'!CG375,2),"MILES RUN THIS/LAST YTD  ►","ERROR! YTD MLG <>" &  F5)

Hi Michael - yes, I take your point thanks and that is intentional as the cell is filled red when it errors and it's easy for me to see the correct value in F5.

I'm guessing this, but again, it's incorrect:

Excel Formula:
=IF(ROUND(F5,2)=ROUND('Daily Tracking'!CG375,2),"MILES RUN"& YEAR(TODAY()) & "/" & YEAR(TODAY()-365) "YTD  ►","ERROR! YTD MLG <> F5")

Ahh, I've sorted it - many thanks Michael.
Excel Formula:
=IF(ROUND(F5,2)=ROUND('Daily Tracking'!CG375,2),"MILES RUN "&YEAR(TODAY())&"/"&YEAR(TODAY()-365)&" YTD  ►","ERROR! YTD MLG <> F5")
