Hello Everyone,

I need help with a project assigned to me, I want to add that I am a fairly new user to the Power BI Platform.

I basically want to add a date slicer that will act as a point in time selector and drive appropriate results.

I have two columns, start date and end date. I need to somehow build in logic, so lets say the selected date is 1/1/2020 I need to somehow filter results where start date <= 1/1/2020 and end date is >= 1/1/2020.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
TREATAS could be what you're looking for.

Thank you for your response. I am only working with one table, it seems that treatas is used to combine items from different tables?

If you don't have a date table, PowerBI will create virtual date tables for each of your date columns. They're nothing but trouble but a "real" date table just might solve your problem.
