Hi,

Can somebody suggest me the formula to get below output.

Through VLOOKUP, I need the refference value match with both verticle and horizental headers.

EX:

If Column a has values "one, two, three, four"

First row has values " Jan, feb, march"

Vlookup function should retrive the value both Feb and one..

Please help.

Thanks

Create a chart in one keystroke

welcome to the board

construct of a VLOOKUP formula:
=VLOOKUP([item],[data table],[column number],false)

You can meet your requirement by using MATCH([month],[header row],0) as the column number

Another way to approach this would be =INDEX([data table],MATCH([value {i.e. one}],[values column],0),MATCH([month],[header row],0))
