Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Can't you just use conditional formatting icons?

How are you adding the arrows? Are they symbols?

As Mark has indicated CF may help.

You cannot change the format of part of a cell when it contains a formula.
Hi Fluff:)

Thanks for checking on this

so if i copy and entire data in a separate column (M column) without formula then can we get the color for arrow :)

Looking again at the original post I don't think conditional formatting would work as I can't see a pattern in the placing of the "arrows" in the XL2BB posted, they look random to me.

It might be an option in another cell if there is data there showing the 2 numbers that are being compared for sksanjeev786 to make the decision where to place the arrows, but sksanjeev786 has only shown the one column and so I can't tell what else exists on the sheet.
