To determine how long clients have been purchasing. This formula gets this years sales from column Z

'=COUNTIFS($Z$7:$Z$29147,">="&DATE(2023,1,1),$Z$7:$Z$29147,"<="&DATE(2023,12,31))

Column Y contains year clients first purchased, How do I expand this formula to narrow down year how many clients came on board.

First criteria This years sales
Second criteria based on above . years client came on board. It would be a separate formula for each year.
So if a 1000 clients bought this year, then how many of those clients came on board in 2022 or 2021 and so on.
