Need Date format

how is the data imported into the sheet
I suspect its been imported as text
if you format the cell as General - then you should see a number
45338.65347
you will also see if left justified , then text - if a real date - then right justified
is it JUST that 1 cell - I can provide a formula that you can put into another cell / cells to convert using text functions
what version of excel from the list you have in profile do you want to use
better just to have the version in the profile , you wish to use the solution with
