Hello All,

I am trying to copy and paste data from a website to excel which is taking very much time. Is there any other way to paste the data quickly?

What i am using is first pasting data into notepad and than copy from notepad and paste again in excel.

Please guide me if there is any better way.

Also, If i want to get the data from Notepad to excel by using macro, what would be the code?

Thanks in advanced.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
I think you are trying to get text only from the site.
Try this:
Copy from website.
Go to excel --> Right click on the cell where you want the data.
Click "Paste Special" on the context menu which appears.
Select "Text".
"OK"

Thanks, Mr. Rao.

That was really helpful. I am wondering if you can guide me to do one more step.

After pasting data from site it looks like

https://www.websitename.com
79 84 56 57

Means website name in one row and its data in 2nd row. Than a blank row and another site and its data.

I need website name and its data in one row like

https://www.websitename.com 79 84 56 57

How do I do that?

Any help would be appriciated !!

Regards,

"Paste special" will paste data as it found in the web site. You will have to move it manually.
If the data is a lot then you can try using VBA to copy paste data to same row and then delete the row.
You can use the macro recorder and make your own program.
