Need a VBA script to pull most recent training dates

Hello! I need a VBA script to find/match an employee with a training course completion date. Here are the circumstances that elevate this past vlookup:
  1. Employee last names - different employees share a last name
  2. Courses are duplicated - 1 single employee has taken a course multiple times (need most recent date)
  3. Course names are not completely standardized, so prefixes and suffixes need to be ignored
  4. Course completion date could be blank - this employee hasn't finished the coursE
If you look at the attachment, the idea is that the Training Database spits out a list of Employees, Course titles, and Completion dates, which the user would paste onto the sheet "Output from Training Database". The VBA script would then add the most recent Completion date to the sheet titled "Course Completion Date".

If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

Quick question: when I plug this formula into my spreadsheet, it opens up a dialog box (attached). I think it's because of the FILTER command, but I'm not sure. What do I do when the box pops up?

You need to change the sheet name "training" in the formula to match your actual sheet name.

FILTER works on my home computer, but not on my work computer. It seems like FILTER is only available with certain versions of Excel. ?? Is there a solution without using FILTER? VBA?
