Thanks Folks, I had info from the Office Experts. The paper tells how to find a problem but not how to correct it. I gave up trying to correct it. Spent a whole day researching help and methods. I sent the report I was working on with an explanation that voodoo was at work on the table. My client will understand but I'm not satisfied. Eerie thing is that I used a copy of a table that was fine, just added data and the formatting went bonkers.
