Hi all,

Stumbled across this issue when trying to help someone else on here,

Is it possible to name a range as a cell reference? My assumption is no this is not possible but worth an ask.

E.g. I want to name the range N2:N3 as "h1" but that refers to a cell so it renders impossible right? There isn't a way to bypass this with brackets or anything?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
You could name it with an underscore ate start _h1

Thanks for the link mole - will take a read.

Thanks Fluff - this idea of an underscore crossed my mind after posting this, so I have used it to reference the named range using INDIRECT with the preceeding underscore :-)!
