I have this rectangle that is semi transparent that is showing up in the right hand corner of my Excel spreadsheets. It is showing up in all tabs. It is not a cell setting as it doesn't align with the cells. It does not seem to be a picture as it does not allow me to select it and I can access the cells behind it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to eliminate it and what it might be.

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Nevermind. When I closed out of the program and later reopened it the problem went away. I have no idea what it was.

I sometimes get a shadow of a task pane that I used but later closed. Often it appears while a time-consuming operation is taking place (like saving), then goes away. Annoying, buty ultimately harmless.

Thank you. Maybe that was what it was because it was gone when I closed and reopened it. I jus have never had that before. It must be a glitch
