I kind of wanted to ask a myriad of questions, rather than post individually.

Here's the scenario.
Hired six months ago to do what I'm about to try to figure out. The powers wanted me to learn the company first, a prudent decision.

So, If they decide on Access for a database for production and scheduling (sounds simple), however the product is live, not a shelf product, it is custom made, cellular. My first question is how to configure a few production type schedules to start, whereby everything changes- based on cell life, etc.

Second question- I'm having difficulty thinking about relationships and wonder how far down the levels can go, for instance bill of material level.

Third question- is there any issues I should know about with servers? I asked the question upon my first few weeks and was told no. I asked again today and hmmmmmm.........the server folks thought no. As well, one person told me in that in design view, I am hogging all resources, so they took it off the server. I asked them to address this by next week, in order that I could start my work in earnest.

I hope I can find some assistance through this avenue, I've always had great luck with Excel issues.

Thanks
