Hello,

I have multiple workbooks and they have approximately 25 sheets in each of them. I need to extract same data from each of them. The data is always in the same cell and sheet. I need to extract data to one new workbook. What is the easiest way to do this?

EDIT:
Also I need to extract multiple cells to different cells of the new workbook.

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
A bunch of questions that need answering. To start:
- How do you envision telling Excel while files to include? Is it every file in some folder, or do you want to prompt to select each one?
- Are you extracting from every single sheet from every single file?
- What values on the sheet are you extracting (cell address)?
- Where exactly are these values being pasted to (cell address)?

It might be beneficial for us to see an example of one of these sheets so we can see what your data looks like and what is being extracted.
Also, it would be helpful to see what your expected results should look like.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
