I have been using excel 2016 for over a year. Recently, it started opening in separate instances. Therefore, none of my macros will run as they cannot look against separate instances. How can I force it to go back to opening in the same instance. Just to clarify, I am not speaking of putting in same window, just want it to open in same instance.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
How exactly are you opening your files?
I believe if you open from Windows Explorer, or from shortcuts, it will open in different instances.
If you want it to open in the same instance, go to your open session of Excel, and open the next file from there.
