Hi, I am trying to allocate labor hours per week to meal periods using the employee time clock activity.
My meal periods are:
Breakfast 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Lunch 12:01 PM-6:00PM
Dinner 6:01PM - 12:00 AM
Late night 12:01 AM-5:59AM

The time clock activity gives Time in and time out.
Most employees work through at least 2 meal periods.

The if(and) function I tried gave back "too many arguments".

Any solution or partial solution would be great help!

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Sorry this is my first time posting a question but I am really glad I got a response!

These are my inputs:

Business Day Time In Time Out Regular Overtime Total Hours
Hours Rate Hours Rate
05/12/2015 9:04 AM 4:39 PM 7.58 $15.00 0 $0.00 7.58
05/14/2015 12:06 PM 4:47 PM 4.68 $15.00 0 $0.00 4.68
05/16/2015 11:38 AM 4:59 PM 5.1 $15.00 0.25 $22.50 5.35
05/14/2015 8:56 AM 11:54 AM 2.97 $15.00 0 $0.00 2.97
05/16/2015 8:48 AM 11:26 AM 2.63 $15.00 0 $0.00 2.63
05/11/2015 9:00 AM 3:00 PM 5 $15.00 0 $0.00 5
05/15/2015 8:57 AM 11:39 AM 2.7 $15.00 0 $0.00 2.7
05/15/2015 11:51 AM 3:29 PM 3.63 $15.00 0 $0.00 3.63

The hopeful output:
Labor Expense by Meal Period per week (in thousands)
5/17/2015
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Late night

Does this help?
