Hello everyone
I'm using the following formula to generate the number of orders in SLA :-

=COUNTIFS(May!N2:N49,"NO") - This formula is in cell G10

In Cell D10 I have the figure 18 manually typed in.

What I would like to do is subtract the figure created in G10 from D10, but to have this new figure shown in G10.

Is this possible please?

Thank you in Advance

Hi,

I would suggest that returning a Zero value indicates that the formula is working and that the number in D10 is equal to the number of "NO"s in N2:N49 in tab May. What value were you expectiing? To test change the value in N10.

Hope this helps

Eric

Hi,

Not sure what you mean.
Does the COUNTIF formula work on its own? What does it return?

If D10 holds 18, and your count returns 18 as well then you will get a zero.
Also maybe try recalculating (F9) and checking your calculation options are set to Automatic rather than Manual?

The value I was expecting was 2 as it should've calculated 20-18=2

The countif works on its own, giving the correct figure of 20. It's got me baffled!

It sounds like you want it the other way from what you originally described - i.e you want to subtract the value in D10 from the count.

What result do you get when you do this in G10:
=COUNTIF(May!N2:N49, "NO") - D10

If that still doesn't give you the correct result, then what do you get with the following in G10:
=COUNTIF(May!N2:N49, "NO")

and

=D10

This worked!
Thank you so much for resolving my query
