Hi Folks:

I have seen many version of this, but not this request

I was hoping to display the file size of an active workbook within a msgbx.

I do care about the size of each worksheet,; I was also hoping to name the path and workbook.

Thank you!

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
you could use:

Sub Fileproperties()
File1 = "Path\filename.extension" 'you enter the default here, or choose, thisworkbook
MsgBox "The Size of " & file1.fullname & " is " & FileLen(File1) & " bytes"
End Sub

Thank you! I am giving it a try now. I am not sure exactly where to place "thisworkbook", but I will figure it out.

Thanks again!

This is what I tried:

Sub Fileproperties()
File1 = "ThisWorkbook" 'you enter the default here, or choose, thisworkbook
MsgBox "The Size of " & File1.FullName & " is " & FileLen(File1) & " bytes"
End Sub

it didn't with or without the quotes. I will keep playing with it.

Code:
Sub Fileproperties()
    File1 = ThisWorkbook.FullName
    MsgBox "The Size of " & File1 & " is " & FileLen(File1) & " bytes"
End Sub
