MS Word / VBA Auto TimeStamp for each line

Hello Mr Excel community,

I was wondering if there is a script that would constantly search the text and replace a string of words (i.e. "new line") with a macro that includes a time stamp.

In short, I am using Dragon Naturally Speaking to document research data in the field which consists of 3 letter bands & a time stamp separated by commas. Every time I say the word "new line", I want Word to replace that with ", [timestamp]," followed by a new line. Dragon has a solution for this but it doesn't work well and it extremely slow & inaccurate. Setting dragon to dictation mode would make it a lot faster but it also turns off commands (which is the current solution we have).

Therefore, what I am looking for is if I were to speak the following, "MBR M2R new line MBR M2M new line", Word would pump out the following:

MBR M2R, 8:45:45 AM,
MBR M2M, 8:45:49 AM,

I envision something where a I have an ongoing script that constantly searches the text for new line and replaces it with a time stamp every time it appears. I am just not sure how to write a script that is constantly running.

I hope this makes sense. Let me know. Thank you.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Clearly, it hasn't been deleted and others looking at your thread here should know that, and that it's been replied to, so they don't waste time on something that's already been answered.

I am so confused. You are the only one who replied to it. I never received any emails about responses on ExcelForums and I don't see any besides your own. Where do I see these additional responses you are talking about?

If I am confused or you are upset I couldn't find my post on ExcelForums, then please ignore me. I am sorry for any trouble I caused you and have a great day. Thank you.

As yet, there haven't been any other responses and I didn't suggest there were any. The whole point in providing the link is to avoid having people waste their time replying to something that's already been answered elsewhere. As for the lack of alerts from ExcelForums, I suggest you check your settings there.
