Hello Mr Excel community,
I was wondering if there is a script that would constantly search the text and replace a string of words (i.e. "new line") with a macro that includes a time stamp.
In short, I am using Dragon Naturally Speaking to document research data in the field which consists of 3 letter bands & a time stamp separated by commas. Every time I say the word "new line", I want Word to replace that with ", [timestamp]," followed by a new line. Dragon has a solution for this but it doesn't work well and it extremely slow & inaccurate. Setting dragon to dictation mode would make it a lot faster but it also turns off commands (which is the current solution we have).
Therefore, what I am looking for is if I were to speak the following, "MBR M2R new line MBR M2M new line", Word would pump out the following:
MBR M2R, 8:45:45 AM,
MBR M2M, 8:45:49 AM,
I envision something where a I have an ongoing script that constantly searches the text for new line and replaces it with a time stamp every time it appears. I am just not sure how to write a script that is constantly running.
I hope this makes sense. Let me know. Thank you.
