MS Word userForms issues while closing files.

Im trying to recreate a type of userform I made in Excel for use in Word. The form launches and the user is able to browse for a folder to convert files of a specific file type (in this case .doc files) to PDF. The userform stays open, i have a progress bar i want to display, while the files convert. This works perfectly in Excel. I have been trying to mimic this in Word but things are not going smoothy.

Everytime after i close the .doc after saving it to pdf the userform closes also. I have tried different methods of closing the docs but i get the same result. If i set the userform to modal, the form stays open along with the docs, its like the close command gets ignored.

Is it not possible to have a useform displayed and kept open while a file closes?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Update: I think leaving the blank "Document1" document open was causing the issue. Seems to be behaving properly now (for the time being : ).
