MS WORD open two documents with Dialog Box

We are currently moving towards a paperless environment, and currently have a macro that prompts users for bits of text from another word documnet, this is obtained via a InputBox

I have tried opening the second document and was hoping to break out of the control of the dialog to the secondary document to allow cut and paste, however word is having none of it the dialog box has control

i have tried splitting views, adding docs etc etc but one the dialog is triggered its the boss

any ideas, do i need to create a second instance of word ??
