MS Word - Drop-down lists

Hello,

Hope I've picked the right forum for this question...

I just created a table in Word with multiple cells. This table will be used to gather end-user input. For a few of the cells, I've put a Forms drop-down box so that the user won't have to type one of the 4 options for each cell; rather they can just pick one of the 4 standard responses from the list. However, once I "lock" those drop-downs on the Forms toolbar, I cannot input text into any other cell (that doesn't contain a Forms drop-down box and requires variations of input from the user). The only cells I can access on the table are the ones with the drop-down box.

Anyone have any ideas on how to have some cells with drop-downs but still allow for text in other cells of a MS Word table?

(Note: I do NOT know VB so can't code anything!)
Thanks!!
K

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Have you tried to use a text form field? It is the icon that looks like ab| on the forms tool bar. After you insert a text form field, you can right click, select properties and WORD will allow you to specify the text field type (text, number, date), format and length.
