Ms Word - Bookmarks & Reference (Hyperlink)

I have a word document where I have bookmarks and reference to those as hyperlink. To go to the link word gives the option, press " CRTL + click to follow link". Is there any setting to be changed in word so that i can just click and go to the reference without pressing CRTL.

Field GoTo Button

Hi Gohar Shahab,

How about using Insert Field, All, find GOTO Button command. Then you can double-click to go to any specified bookmak name that has been defined. You can remove the hyperlinks from your document.

Yes.

Use a macrobutton field.

In the displayed text portion, somehow embed the bookmark name you want to goto.

When you double click a macrobutton, the entire macro button field will be selected and it will run the routine specified.

Use the following code to get the text in the macrobutton.

Selection.Fields(1).Code

Put that into a text string. Parse out the bookmark name. Then goto that bookmark in VBA.

Now you've got a routine that will work for any bookmark.

I do have to say that if your users are so illiterate that they can't hold down the control key you should ask for a raise!!!
