MS Word 97

Hi,

I am trying to do a mail merge in Word 97 but when getting the data source which is an excel spreadsheet I get the Word Could Not Re-Establish DDE Connection to MS Excel

I have unticked Ignore Other Applications check box in Microsoft Excel but I still get the problem any ideas ?

Are you trying to do this mail merge through Word or Excel?

I have a word document as the letter and the addresses are in an Excel spreadsheet.
