MS Project question - Populating dates based on an end date

I'm fairly new to Project and was wondering if this is possible.

We have real estate relocation projects that are scheduled occur on a specific day. Based on this day, activities need to be completed (e.g. furniture installed, cabling completed, etc.)

We are currently using Excel because we can use the overall completion date as the base date for all other tasks.

For example, Furniture installation needs to be completed 14 days prior to the move date (e.g. Move date is 12-30, furniture completed date is 12-16), etc.

I have not been able to replicate this in project since it needs a start date instead of an end date.

Any advice?

Thanks
Rick
