MS Outlook 2007

I have created a HTML e-mail within outlook (inserting pictures and using Outlook shapes/graphics) for a newsletter to send within my company. After testing it with some associates, it seems as though all of the pictures/designs work fine, but should I be concerned with the need to embed pictures within the e-mail? It appears that the pictures are stored within a folder on a share drive that has the html file saved.

I don't know how it's done in OL 2007, but in 2003 each user controls their own download settings by going to Tools > Options > Security > Change Automatic Download Settings.
