MS Excel alternative

Hi all,

I'm looking for Excel replacement, reason is, I need to be able to edit spreadsheets in real time with other people, but need auto-fill, which is not available in excel web app and desktop excel only pushes changes every 5min.
Google docs is not an option because it doesn't offer many features

Do you have any suggestions free/paid?

Not sure where you got this from: "desktop excel only pushes changes every 5min".

Have you looked at using "Shared" Excel files? I having used it much, but know it exists.

I have no idea if the OpenOffice products will allow you to do what you want, but they do have an Excel alternative: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice

You may want to explore LibreOffice.

If you want an alternative to Excel, consider what features you need. AFAIK, there are no free alternatives that provide a viable alternative to macros / VBA, so if your workbook relies on VBA at all, you need to make the Ecxel version work for you.

Have you checked if a little bit of programming might not meet your requirement with the mainstream Excel.
