HELP! My database is giving the dreaded MS Access has generated errors and will shut down message for no apparent reason. What are the causes of this? Can you point me to an article? I tried compacting and repairing and copying and older copy back over to my pc. But I still get it and I can't get into the database to figure out why. Do I need to reinstall Ms Acces. I am using Access 2000. Thanks for any help?

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I don't have the answers on this, but consider http://www.utteraccess.com/forums/access/access389662.html

My own fallback would be to paste individual tables (and queries, etc.), one by one, into a new DB. This is easiest by using Control-C and Control-V. Alternatively, importing to the new DB may do the job for you.

You could also save intermittent partial reconstructions as you assemble the new DB, in case the culprit frustratingly strikes intermittently or if you don't want to toil through just one at a time. E.g., copy half of the objects over, save that, copy half of the rest, save with another name, etc. until the culprit emerges.

This all relies on there being a "culprit" object. I know this is frustrating so I can only wish you luck and little pain. Also ... you did try REBOOTING, right?!

Two possible approaches per DevAshish:

1. Try decompiling a copy of the app.

"C:\program files\...\msaccess.exe" /decompile "yourdb.mdb"

2. Then try registering DAO360.dll on that machine again.
