Ms 2003 how to insert page no

Hi Every One,

I am using MS 2003 in MS WORD how to insert page no,

My Requirement in MS WORD Example total page is 10. I want it show like 1 out of 10, 2 out of 10,.....9 out of 10, 10 out of 10 in each page.

How ever i try it show each page 1,2,3,4... like this only.

Hi Dattatreya,

This is fairly basic and can be done using Word's header/footer page numbering tools.

Here's an alternative way to create a 'Page X of Y' display:
• open the document header or footer
• type 'Page '
• press Ctrl-F9 to create a pair of field braces (i.e. '{ }') and type 'PAGE' between them, so you end up with {PAGE}
• type ' of '
• press Ctrl-F9 to create a pair of field braces (i.e. '{ }') and type 'NUMPAGES' between them, so you end up with {NUMPAGES}
You should now have 'Page {PAGE} of {NUMPAGES}'. Select the lot and press F9. You should now have your 'Page X of Y' display on every page, with the correct numbers displayed.
