Cullen sends in today's Where Is It Wednesday question: how can you change the comment shape in Excel 2007? This was a cool feature in Excel 2003, we just can't find it anymore. Episode 978 shows you how.

Hey, Alright!
Well here we are.
It's another where is it Wednesday.
It's been a while since we've had one of these and thanks to George wood for the where is that Wednesday theme.
Today's question came in from Cullen.
Cullen lives in Houston.
And this is so weird.
The second comment question of the week.
We've gone months without talking about cell comments So, we have a cell comment here and Cullen said back in Excel 2003, we used to have this feature, where we could select the comment.
Go to the drawing toolbar.
Change AutoShape and change it to another shape.
Kind of a cool way to make your comments sort of stand out.
Let's see a good one here.
There that's what I'm looking for.
Yeah Kind of cute.
There pops up instead of just a regular shape, You have something else, but Cullen says, I can't figure out how to do this in Excel 2007.
So, let's take a quick look here.
Let's just insert a comment.
That's back on the reviewing Toolbar and click New Comment.
I figure all right there has to be a way to do this, but obviously here in the comments, there's nothing.
So, I went back to the insert tab.
That's where the shapes are.
Hoping that I could you know just choose another shape But that doesn't work, So, where do we head.
We head into Office icon, Excel options> Customize> go to All Commands And it used to be called change auto shape.
So, I look under the sea's to see if they have another change to Auto Shapes from two shapes.
So, there it is.
Change shape>click add.
Add that to the Quick Access Toolbar And then we've got it.
So, we have our comment.
Open this icon now, and we can change the shape of the comment very easily Alright! So, let's try it.
Pops up with the new shape.
Now, if you have a comment that's already there, of course I'm going to right-click and do Show/Hide Comments.
That allows us to select the comment, and then we can now use this to choose a different shape for the comment.
Finally!
Hide comment, and now it's back to a pop-up of the very shape.
So, a great question from Cullen.
Wanna thank Cullen for sending it in.
Thank you for stopping by.
We'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
