Hey. Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast. I'm Bill Jelen.
Now, this is funny. I did 4 seminars last week, 2 in Trinidad and 2 in Tampa.
3 of the seminars, before the seminar, someone asked the exact same question.
They said, you know, it's really frustrating that we can hide multiple sheets in one step.
For example, we have SHEET1 selected, CONTROL click on SHEET3, CONTROL click on SHEET5, and then you FORMAT, SHEET, HIDE, but then, to unhide sheets, there's no way to do them all.
You have to go to FORMAT, SHEET, UNHIDE, choose one, click OK, FORMAT, SHEET, UNHIDE, choose the next one, click OK, you know.
It can get really tedious, especially if you have 20 or 30, you know, different sheets you have to unhide.
Well, I have 2 solutions for this.
We'll do one today.
It's called custom views.
So, we have a workbook here.
We can see all 6 worksheets.
I'll go to VIEW, CUSTOM VIEWS, and ADD a brand new VIEW called ALLVISIBLE, click OK, and then I'll create a second VIEW where I hide those other sheets.
So, FORMAT, SHEET, HIDE, and create a new view now.
VIEW, CUSTOM VIEWS, and ADD one called SOMEHIDDEN, click OK, and now, rather than use FORMAT, SHEET, UNHIDE, I can just go to VIEW, CUSTOM VIEWS, and say that I want to see the ALLVISIBLE, VIEW, and it will bring back all of my sheets.
So, there's one great way to solve the problem.
Now, tomorrow, we'll take a look at another quick way in that we can unhide all sheets using a macro.
Well, thanks for stopping by.
We'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
