Hey, Welcome back to the MrExcel Netcast.
I'm Bill Jelen.
Today we have a question send in by Steve.
Steve is using the auto filter or in excel 2007 it's called the filter.
So I use "Data Filter" "Auto filter".
He says you know I go through and I choose a specific customer and now I need to get back.
I want it to show all the customers again.
Is there a fast way to do that?
This works in both excel 2007 and excel 2003.
If you hit Alt D and then F and then S, that invokes the excel 2003 menu for "Data" "Filter" "Show all" and of course that works fine and it works fine in excel 2007 and excel 2003.
Very easy to use.
His other question was.
Sometimes the items are not completely in the list it stops about halfway through at M and that's a problem that we have in excel 2003.
There is a limit to how many items could be in the list.
In excel 2007 that dramatically increased up to about 10,000 from the old limits.
So if you're running into that problem might be a good reason to upgrade to excel 2007.
Hey, thanks for stopping by. We'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
