Hey, all right welcome back to the MrExcel netcast.
I'm Bill Jelen, here's a question that came in during one of my power Excel seminars, I was out in Chicago last week doing a seminar and someone said; hey I need to rearrange the columns on a worksheet, for example in this case I need to move the amount in column H and put it between the invoice number in customer number between columns B and C, and I said you know I know I can go through and use insert column and then cut this column and paste that column but, it seems like a lot of steps, is there some way just a faster way to be able to do that? and there's a great feature in Excel that basically says that we're going to insert cut sales, so what I do is I click on column H to select that entire column, I hit CTRL X which is the shortcut for Cut, and then we're always going to insert it to the left or above so I'm going to click on column C and then go to the insert menu and choose cut cells, and sure enough it takes that entire column and moves it over between B and C, a much faster way than using insert column and then cut and then paste basically in a few clicks you can solve the problem.
Hey thanks for something by, we'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
