Hey, welcome back to the MrExcel podcast, I'm Bill Jelen.
Hey, one of the tricks that accountants need to use all the time is, they say that a grand total should have a double underline underneath it.
Now up at our Formatting toolbar, of course, we have the Underline icon which will give us a single underline, but how do you add a double underline?
Well, you need to go to the Format Cells dialog, and on the Font tab there is an Underline drop-down, where you can choose from a Single Underline, a Double Underline, or Single or Double Accounting Underlines.
Choose Double here, click OK, outside of the cell, and then you will have a double underline.
Now, if you have to do this all the time, there's a great way to add the double underline to your toolbar.
If you right-click the toolbar and choose Customize, and then in the Format category, scroll down, there is an option there for double underline.
Just take that, drag it, drop it right next to the Underline icon on your toolbar, and then in the future you'll be able to easily underline or double underline.
Hey, thanks for stopping by, we'll see you next time for another podcast from MrExcel!
