I have not come across very much on this subject in any Excel book.
Learn Excel 2007 through Excel 2010 from Mr Excel, for example, has just one page explaining how to get data from a web page that still uses static tables.

Don't just buy the book for that one page, although you will find the other 805 pages useful.
You will more or less see the same description in one of the links that I gave.
The book is also available in PDF (eBook) format from the MrExcel Store.

Hi Derek
It won't be just for that but I am interested in learning have seen a couple of pod casts, seems easy if you know what your doing,and i'm sure i'll be trying lots of other things as well so the book will be used. I prefer the book as it will be right infront of me when using it but the ebook would have to be put on a half screen so I can see both book and sheet,so will go with the book. Again thanks for the help.
