Hello,

I have a list of data points and I would like to separate them by those that contain the word "sold." This key word isn't listed in exclusively one column and I would like to automatically relocate the entire row to another work book. Thank you in advance for your VBA/Excel knowledge!

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
In cases like this, it is important for us to know specific details, such as:
- What does your data look like?
- How many rows/columns are we talking about?
- Is "sold" the only thing in the cell, or is it just one word in a longer sentence?
- Are they being copied out to a new workbook, or an existing one? If an existing one, how is that structured?

What is often helpful is to see a sample of what the data you are working with looks like. MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
