I have a bar-chart that represents hours by month for a 12 month period. On a secondary axis, I display an FTE count to represent the number of full-time-equivalent people those hours represent. For example, the month of January has 878 hours, which equates to 4.9 people (equivalent) assuming a person works 180h per month. I then display the data labels but not the bars (no-fill no-border).
The problem is that even though the data labels are positioned above the FTE bar (even though the bar itself is invisible), in come cases, that number is still lower than the top of the hours bar, i.e., the FTE number appears within the colored hours bar.
I'm trying to find a way to offset the labels so they always appear above the hours bar for a given month. I'd rather not have to manually adjust the individual labels each time the charts are updated.
I wish I knew how to post a picture of the chart...never been able to figure that out.
Anyone have ideas? Thanks...Wayne
