I am showing item lables in tabular form.

Is the Values column always the right most column?

For example some of the row values are so long, that it pushes the Values column too far off the screen.

I would prefer to have the Values column in the middle of the pivot table, to be able to control where it is located.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.

Not necessariy the "right most column" but yes the values are always to the right of the Row Lables.
If you move them anywhere else they effectively become Labels and you can no longer appply any of the aggregation functions to them.

You might want to consider using Power Query.
Microsoft is in the process of rolling out GroupBy and PivotBy which may help but I certainly don't have them in my version MS 365 yet.
