Can you create an unbound field on a form, where the form is sourced to a table, and create an event (like a button) that moves the data from the unbound field to another field on the form?

What I am trying to do is to be able to fill in data into fields and not create a new record until I want to - like click of a button.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
What people typically do is use an Unbound Form, and then have the Macro button write an Insert SQL statement to add the record to the table.

Just note in doing that, you lose all the advantages of the Data Types and properties from the Table helping to prevent bad entries. So you just have to add a bit more coding to check and verify that they filled out all necessary fields, and followed all data rules.
