First off, I believe there is a previously answered post but I can't find it for the life of me.

I am looking assign a short cut to a macro that places the cursor in the Name Box so I can enter the desired value. I don't want to use the dialogue box that appears when you press F3. I would like for the reference to be the selection of the current workbook. Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Michael,

Could you give me some insight on how to place this code into my persona workbook. I inserted a new module and pasted it there, but it didn't work. Is there a specific reference I need to enable?

Thanks!

It works fine for me.
Did you assign the shortcut key....Chip suggested CTRL + SHIFT+ N
Keep in mind, the name box WILL NOT be highlighted....after you press the shortcut key/s type a cell reference, it will appear in the name box.....there is no flashing cursor or oher ID to suggest the namebox is active !
