Hi

I have multiple shapes with name/job role on worksheet 1;
can I 'link' the shape to their corresponding row on worksheet 2 to generate a mouseover with all their contact details?

TIA

Can Excel fill bagel flavors?
You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK

Shapes do not have a moiuseover event but I some time ago a wrote a workaround .. Look at this thread

See if you can adapt that code to accomplish the tooltip effect.

Thanks Jaafar, what part of the code would I need to change to enable to show a particular row of data on the 2nd worksheet?

Hi Fester675,

What exactly do you mean by 'show a particular row" ? Do you want to activate workshseet 2 and display the corresponding row or do you want the info in the row to be shown on a tooltip like popup near the shape ? and how many info cells are in the rows ?

I am busy at the moment but if I find the time i'll see if I can post something.

It would be preferable to have the info from a particular row on worksheet 2, shown in like a tooltip/popup when hovered or clicked on a particular shape in worksheet 1. There are 8 cells per row.

I have created a manual org chart using SmartArt on w/s 1 which includes name/role, with a list (table format) on w/s 2 with the individual's details and would like to show the full details in a popup type window - almost like a comment, except it won't let me add 'new comment'.

Thanks again for your help!
