Ninety-five percent of the time, I have this problem only in Excel. For reasons unknown, my mouse will suddenly start scrolling diagonally when I scroll up or down. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so, what is the fix? Thank you in advance for any replies.

(I have asked this question on some other tech support forums but never got any replies.)

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Are you doing a normal scroll (i.e. just using the wheel) or using auto scroll?

Some mice have a feature whereby you click the mouse wheel and then move the mouse to scroll, which would enable you to scroll diagonally in Excel.
