Motivation

"I've got no motivation, I don't need friends"

As Mr A.J. Cairns of Therapy? once wrote.

Actually, I'm a bit more motivated than I've been in the last few months now Jack. It's just not evident on this board since I need to do my own work for a change.

EDIT:: ..and my work motivation has increased partially because my work has blocked webmail and Instant Messenger.

AKA: Mark got busted

With me, it's just a matter of "right place-right time," really.

If there are questions I can answer/help with, they usually get answered by the time I finish typing mine, blah blah.

That and the fact that every now and then I do actually have to do some "work" :)

Hey Jack.
My post count is way down because I've been studying a bunch for the past few months. I've concluded that the entire IT industry is being run by a sociopathic lunatic who only speaks in acronyms. In fact, the progamming is secondary to memorizing all these thingamabobs. Must go! Am learning how ADO uses OLE DB instead of ODBC and is better than DAO or RDO using the guidelines of MSF's SDM. I'll interpret that for you but it'll cost 70$ hour. :)

Hi Jack et al,

Tom´s reply made me start to think of all the nice abbreviation the IT-business are using.

All terms are abbreviated to 3...

However it seems that we, within the nearest future, will see a shift in paradigm at least when it comes to key-words:

.Net
SOAP
UDDI
WSDL

Propably the "base 3" has hit the limit...

Except for these "lovely" words we may train us to learn to use (and understand!):
ADO.NET
ASP.NET
VB.NET
C# (#=SHarp)
JScript.NET
Windows Form
CLR
.NET Framework
.NET Compact Framework
Web Services
Visual Studio Office Net

...run by a sociopathic lunatic who only speaks in acronyms...

Feels like an understatement...and I think we must include ourself too...

IMHO
Dennis

What's wrong with speaking in TLA's?

Fortunately, I believe that MS have dropped the .NET marketing tool, because it was getting overused and no one could actually see that point.

DotNet :grin

Kind regards,
Dennis
