more help needed--formulas

thanks for that help, but a little more detailed. Here is what I am trying to accomplish......is this possible?: 84.09 X 10% to equal the 92.50 in the same cell????? I keep thinking there is an easy way, but can't figure it out. I am trying to do this without having a different sheet with all the amounts to pull from.

Enter 1.1 into an unused cell, copy it, and Paste Special | Values... Multiply onto the cell containing 84.09.
