Hi All
I have just been given a task of doing a Monte carlo simulation for financial analysis.
The criteria I have been given is I must input a MIN, MAX and Most likely or expected result, with 5000 iterations. This has to take place over 300 times on different dollar items.
I know there are hundreds of these simulators out there but can someone suggest or recommend one in particular.
I know this could take ages to run, but I have to start somewhere.

Regards to all.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Depends on the type of distribution you have. If it's uniform, you could use a simple macro that uses RAND (or RANDBETWEEN) to generate a random number, recalculates, and copies the input/output cells to a summary page.

If your distribution is not uniform, you might consider using (buying) the @risk software.

Thanks Oaktree
I had seen a few on the net. Distribution is, in most cases, triangular.
I will have a further look at @Risk

Thanks for your Input.
