Modify Allow Edit Ranges in a shared workbook

Hi,

I've set up a sharing workbook but have a problem with permission. I want it to effectively 'lock' the input for users after they 'submit' their data. The specific user cells have been made accessible using Allow Edit Ranges in protected worksheets.

Accordingly I'm wondering if there's any possible way to change the Allow Edit Ranges for a User on a protected sheet in a shared workbook without going out of share?

I know that to protect/unprotect the sheet I need to unshare the workbook, but is there anyway to just change the Allow Edit Range with the sharing intact?
