Modification regarding EOMONTH function

Dear All,

=""&EOMONTH(DATE(2018,12,1),0) return 43465 last day value
But i want the last day value return as 43465.9993055556 value date
SoI modify in this formula=""&EOMONTH(DATE(2018,12,1) +"23:59:00",0) to give 43465.9993055556 value.
But I won't give.

Any Assistance..

Do you mean:

=DATE(2019,1,1)-1/(24*60)

You misplaced the addition, since EOMONTH returns only the date serial number (integer part). Try:

="" & EOMONTH(DATE(2018,12,1),0) + "23:59:00"

Someone might wonder why don't write simply ="" & DATE(2018,12,31) + TIME(23,59,0) , removing all potential localization issues.

I presume you used EOMONTH because DATE(2018,12,1) is really variable; perhaps a cell reference to an arbitrary date.

If that value was actually hardcoded in the formula, I would wonder why you just wouldn't put that value in the cell and format as a number with 10 decimal places.
